In his article, “Lies Parents Believe,” Casey McCall provides five lies our secular humanist culture has foisted upon modern families. Most parents these days center their family’s life around their children, their wants, and their happiness, but godly parenting models God’s way, with the parents as leaders.
Throughout the years, we’ve battled several lies about parenting, some deriving from cultural propaganda and some from our own sinful hearts. Regardless of source, it’s helpful to identify them as lies so that we can parent in the liberating truth of God’s grace.
